AHMP: Beast from 20,000 Fathoms
Subject: The Beast from 20,000 Fathoms.
1953, Dir. Eugène Lourié.
Preliminary remarks:
A full year before atomic testing released Godzilla upon Tokyo, atomic testing released this beast from 20,000 fathoms upon New York City. Who knows what waits for us in nature's no-man's land? I do. It's in the damn poster.
ANALYSIS:
From where, you say? I'll wait here. This could take a while.
Oh, I'll beg to differ.
Well no shit, asshole.
"Thanks, dood. I completely lost track of it for a minute there."
Are you fucking kidding me?!
I'm not sure what's worse: the halitosis or the excessive draining of the ballasts. I HOPE YOU DIE, YOU MURDERING BASTARD!!! Ahem, sorry. Lost control in all the horror for a second.
Conclusion: decent poster, somewhat over-the-top, just plain fun. B.

What the hell's going on with the comic book speech bubble? Utterly ruins the poster.
ReplyDeleteTotally, it's all sorts of lame. I guess they felt the rest of the work just couldn't stand on its own two legs.
